English: Coniston station, 1951 View northward, towards the buffer-stops - which were well beyond the train-shed, of this terminus of the ex-Furness Railway branch from Foxfield, closed 6/10/58 to passengers, 3/4/62 to goods. On the branch-train is an Ivatt LMS class 2 2-6-2T, fitted with Westinghouse pump for auto-train working.
