Description
English: The Confederate Monument on the courthouse lawn in Lawrenceburg consists of a carved granite statute of a Confederate soldier atop an inscribed granite pedestal. The statute is approximately eight feet tall. The figure is dressed in a winter coat and the soldier is wearing a broad brimmed hat and is resting upon his rifle. The figure of a soldier is atop a pedestal that is approximately 8 feet tall. On four faces of the pedestal are listed the names of the Confederate regiments raised in Anderson County and a list of the men who were wounded or killed during the Civil War.
