Summary

Description
English: Compsognathus is a slender theropod that was long-known as the smallest non-avian dinosaur, at about 1 m in length. Half of that length is in the tail, which it used for balance during locomation. Compsognathus is known to have been carnivorous not only by its pointed teeth, but by the remains of small lizards preserved inside multiple fossil specimens.
