Purpose of use

Many girls with CAIS will present with an inguinal hernia, but will not know what is happening to their bodies until much later. This image will help girls with CAIS self diagnose.

Replaceable?

Complete androgen insensitivity is a rare disorder, affecting approximately 1 in 20,000 births. Images of women with CAIS while in the state of inguinal hernia are understandably very rare. It is also worthy to note that this subject is sensitive, and calls for medical quality photography.
