English: Slovenian Defense Minister Dr. Ljubica Jelusic continued her official visit to the U.S. on Nov. 6, 2010 by participating in the 2010 Denver Veterans Day parade in to honor the nation's veterans and the 150th anniversary of the Colorado National Guard. Also in the historic military vehicle is Adjutant General Maj. Gen. H. Michael Edwards, commander of the Colorado National Guard. Slovenia has been a partner nation with Colorado for 16 years. Colorado National Guard and Slovenian soldiers are currently working together in Afghanistan to train elements of the Afgan National Army to help improve security and stability in that region. |
