English: Coat of arms of Alexander II, King of Scots. This coat of arms appears on folio 146v of Royal MS 14 C VII. Note, however, that the coat of arms is inverted in the manuscript, and that I have rotated it 180 degrees so that the shield appears right side up. The reason the shield is inverted in the manuscript is because it marks the king's death. |
