DescriptionCoat of Arms of Grand Duchy of Finland-holding sabre.svg
Svenska: Storfurstendömet Finlands vapen.
Suomi: Suomen suurruhtinaskunnan vaakuna.
English: Coat of arms of Great Duchy of Finland, ruled by the tsars of Russia 1809-1917. In contast to Finland's current arms (similar to the arms used when part of Sweden), the Russian administration changed the arms so that the lion didn't trample on the curved [Russian] sabre but instead held it.
