Summary

Description
English: The thwart is the single transverse seat in this dinghy at about half way along its length. The stringer or shelf on which the thwart rests can be seen, also the two pairs of knees at each end of the thwart, which reinforce the structural joint with the hull. The centre-board case gets support from the thwart and the mast thwart (the higher transverse plank, which has a hole through which the mast in inserted).
