DescriptionCincinnati streetcar at 5th & Walnut, 1940s.jpg
DowntownCincinnati, Ohio, in the 1940s, looking west on 5th Street at Walnut Street, as streetcar 2506 turns east onto 5th and passes the 1871 Tyler Davidson Fountain at the fountain's longtime original location. Most of the buildings visible in this photo are now gone. Cincinnati's original streetcar system closed in 1951; construction of a new system began in 2012. The fountain was repositioned slightly in 1970 and was moved completely away from the intersection in 2006.
