Cuerpo oval de 6 a 10 mm., muy convexo y negro con reflejo azulados. Élitros con punteado , de forma que el punteado primario forma estrías longitudinales, cortas e irregulares. Activos durante prácticamente todo el año, excepto los dias mas frios de invierno. Se localizan en terrenos variados, principamente praderas y ruderales con presencia de plantagináceas del género Plantago. Presente en la mitad norte de lapenínsula Ibérica, donde no es infrecuente las patitas negras solo la punta parece algo marron por otras fotos que tengo, pero en casi todas de la web las antenas son bien negras, aunque alguna hay con las antenas ambar oscuro |
