Chinese mother, daughter and children in fine costume
Photograph of a high caste Chinese mother and daughter and two small children in fine traditional Chinese clothing. The two women sit on either side of a small table on which one of each of their forearms rest. Each of the women hold a round fan in their other hand with a picture of a flower and Chinese characters on it. The two small children sit in front of the table. Behind the 4 is a 6-panel hanging with Chinese characters on it. On the table sit a clock, a vase filled with flowers, 2 teacups, and 2 rice bowls.
