Description
English: Ticket for a Chesterfield Show live performance.
  • There are no copyright markings on the ticket, which was produced for distribution to the public for admission to the Chesterfield Show live performance given on the date shown.
  • The item can be dated by the date the ticket was valid, which definitely pre-dates the pre-1978 criteria for non copyright-marked material.
  • It was issued as a promotional item--the intention being promotion of the Chesterfield brand of cigarettes. Chesterfield held a show like this in Durham, NC annually; this was for their 1952 show.
  • The ticket is marked as complimentary-proof that it was intended for public distribution at no cost to the recipient.
  • A copyright search was done for Chesterfield and nothing pertaining to this ticket or the annual shows was discovered.
