Description
English: The first Australian soldier to be made an honorary member of the First United States Cavalry Division is Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) H C H Robertson, Commander in Chief British Commonwealth Occupation Force (BCOF). He is pictured here wearing the black and gold colour patch of the Division. Beside him is Major General W C Chase, Officer Commanding the United States First Cavalry Division. The induction ceremony was held at Camp Drake, near Tokyo. Lt Gen Robertson inspected the Division after the ceremony.
