| Description | Chartley Castle is a 13th century stone motte and bailey fortress, which has been in ruins for a long time. Chartley Castle lies to the north of the village of Stowe-by-Chartley in Staffordshire, between Stafford and Uttoxeter (grid reference SK010285). |
