Summary

Description
English: A Char-a-Banc as a railway carriage. A short cut for motorists in the Highlands. This is a 30-h.p. petrol road-motor char-a-banc which has been converted by the Caledonian Railway Company for passenger service on the rails, with a trailer for motor-cars, across Connel cantilever bridge at Loch Etive, in Argyllshire, thus avoiding a detour of many weary Highland miles. It is an innovation greatly relished by motorists especially those with experience of the previous ferry-boat method.
