Summary

Description
English: Salvage glass from a demolished house. Probably installed around 1900. Textured, clear interior door glass with yellow, pink and blue painted motifs. Pastel colours were the cheapest for painted glass; also at this time it was fashionable to have either colourless windows with a small, coloured motif, or light pastel glass in combinations of green, yellow and pink. The blue is less common. Where the glass is clear, the texture picks up reflected colour: in this case the stylised leaves at the bottom appear gold. This glass is now installed in a north-facing window with no direct sun-rays, yet the gold-effect still works.
