English: Site of Chalcombe Road Halt, 1988.
View southward on the minor road from the A361 to CHACOMBE - but 'Chalcombe' according to the Railway. The important ex-GC Woodford Halse - Banbury line, linking the GC 'London Extension' from Leicester, Nottingham and Sheffield etc. with the GWR system at Banbury, crossed here: Banbury was to the right and the Halt had been on the left. The Halt was closed from 6/2/56 and the line abandoned, along with the main line, from 6/9/66.
