English: The park, with a total area of 260 rais, is located in Ta Phra sub-district, Muang district. It was founded in 1983 with an aim to serve as a tourist attraction and a bird sanctuary. Operated in a natural environment, the Asia’ largest aviary covers an area of 26 rais. Visitors are allowed to stroll along amid the birds for more than 100 species, mostly rare species such as Sarus Crane, Green Peafowl, Purple Swamphen, Falcons, and Herons.
Furthermore, the park features an aquarium displaying a wide variety of freshwater fish species with 63 species of Chao Praya fish, a museum of bird eggs, a planetarium, a snake park, and a rabbit park. The Chainat Bird Park is considered one of the tourist attractions that generate considerable income and reputation to the province.
