Description
Français : Château de Tervueren, résidence de l’impératrice Charlotte du Mexique. — Le château de Tervueren fut construit à partir de 1817 par Guillaume d’Orange, roi des Pays-Bas (englobant les actuelles Belgique et Pays-Bas). Le prince d’Orange, fils du roi, alla y habiter en 1822. Charlotte, ancienne impératrice du Mexique et sœur du roi Léopold II, y habita de 1867 à 1879, année où le château fut complètement détruit par un incendie.
