English: Catharanthus roseus also known as bright eyes, Cape periwinkle, graveyard plant, Madagascar periwinkle, old maid, pink periwinkle, rose periwinkle or Madagascar periwinkle. It is native and endemic to Madagascar, but grown elsewhere as an ornamental and medicinal plant. This one was grown in Bangladesh as a ornamental plant in a flower tub in the balcony of a house. In Bangladesh it is known as 'Nayantara' (নয়নতারা).
