DescriptionCastles of Munster, Glenquin, Limerick. - geograph.org.uk - 1392716.jpg
English: Castles of Munster: Glenquin, Limerick. This tower house was probably built in the early 16c by the O'Hallinans, who were almost decimated later by the O'Briens. After it was surrendered to the English in 1569, it was granted first to Captain Hungerford, and in 1599 to Captain Collum of Glengoume. It was restored during the 1840s, and more recently when it was designated a state monument.
