Summary

Description
English: Carved outcrop on Chattonpark Hill Multi-ringed cups with long, connecting grooves possibly dating back as far as the Neolithic. These symbolic carvings are found over a wide area of northern Britain including Durham, Northumberland and Scotland maybe implying some kind of religious significance to their creators. We know little of the people who created them and can only guess at what they might represent. The stunning hill top location and mystery of the rock art make this for me one of the most atmospheric locations in Northumberland.
