Description

Cartoon about Cote, Worthing, Sussex, England.

Context: In 1941 Worthing Corporation acquired land at Cote Bottom by public subscription, as a public amenity. Part of it became a bird sanctuary. However, by 1952 the Corporation was allowing farmers to use it for food production, especially poultry farming.

Note: A full effort has been made to establish the identity of the artist, via internet, books, collections, etc., but none was found.
