Summary

Description
English: Laying a carpet at a house in Yate, South Gloucestershire, England. The fitter is ramming his knee (with great force) on the black padded end of the tool. Spikes (unseen in the photo), on the lower surface of the other end of the tool, grip the carpet. The carpet stretches onto the spikes sticking up (again unseen) on the gripper strip that has been nailed down around the periphery of the room. The fitter simultaneously pushes the carpet edge down into the channel behind the gripper, using the chisel-like tool in his right hand, to produce a perfect edge.
