Description AWM caption: England. C. 1944. Group portrait of the pilots and navigators of the four Canadian Mosquito crews who successfully engaged the enemy on a recent trip. In a period of eight minutes the four teams destroyed seven enemy aircraft and badly damaged another. From left to right: Flying Officer (FO) J. Caine of Edmonton and his navigator Warrant Officer (WO) E. Boal of Regina, Sask; Flight Lieutenant (Flt Lt) C. Scherf of Glenn Innes, NSW and his navigator FO Al Brown of Winnipeg; the happy commanding officer of the squadron, Wing Commander D. C. S. Macdonald of Vancouver and his navigator Pilot Officer S. Wilson of Leeds, England; Flt Lt J. Johnson of Omemee, Ont and his navigator FO J. Gibbons of Vancouver BC.
