Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) | The massacre of Krahn at Camp Johnson Road was one of the most significant mass killings during the peace time of Liberian President Charles Taylor's rule, and it directly contributed to the Second Liberian Civil War's outbreak. The government always maintained that only about 40-50 people had been killed, but the author of this photo himself attests that many more were killed; some sources say that over 1000 were murdered. Hundreds of Krahn subsequently fled from Liberia. This photo shall showcase the magnitude and importance of the killings, which difficult to convey by text alone. |
