Exhibition history
English: The metal as the material of Ritter's sculpture is transformed by fire, because the metal receives its shape and form through the energy of the fleeting fire. For the unveiling of the “Phoenix” in 2009, Oliver Ritter chose a “fire reveal”. Covered in paper, the “Phoenix” was ignited to figuratively burn in the fire and reveal its form through the fire.
