View westward, towards Shipley and Bradford, West Yorkshire, and the main lines to Skipton Hellifield, Carlisle and Morecamb: ex-Midland main line from Leeds. Stanier 5MT 4-6-0 No. 45092 (built 1935, withdrawn 11/67) is demeaned in its final years to working coal empties. Calverley & Rodley station was closed on 22/3/65 (goods 7/10/68), along with the other stations between Leeds and Shipley, but the line was electrified as far as Skipton in 1991.
