Description
English: Calomel, Terlinguaite
Locality: Perry Pit, Mariposa Mine (California Mountain Mine), Terlingua District, Brewster County, Texas, USA
Original description: Amber calomel crystals and bright yellow terlinguaite on gossan matrix, 3 mm. across. Collected c. 1995 by Ray Stegemoller. The terlinguaite is bright yellow and shiny. There is some glare on this image(processed from a stack of 12 images with CombineZ software), but I really don't want to put this photosensitive specimen under the lights and do it again. The calomel crystal is transparent and appears to contain some cinnabar inclusions.
