Col. Dorsey commanded a regiment of Confederate soldiers at a battle near Mt. Zion Church in Boone County, Missouri. On Dec. 28, 1861 his forces were routed by less than 500 Union mounted troops and sharpshooters. Title: Caleb Dorsey, Colonel (Confederate).
