English: This Caiman MRAP protected 11 soldiers from a road side bomb in Iraq.
The vehicle shows several hits by fragments including ones that 1) removed the passenger side door handle, 2) put a large hole through the hood and air filter, 3) deflated several (run-flat) tires, 4) removed the storage boxes on the sides of the vehicle above the tires, and 5) removed the fuel tank, which before blast would've been visible between the legs of the soldiers under the door. The passenger window seems to have taken a beating (and stayed intact) too.
Since the photo was taken by a U.S. Soldier on active duty, no copyright applies.
