Mr. Boak organized mining companies in Tonopah, Manhattan and Round Mountain, served 26 years in the State Legislature, was a key figure in bringing U.S. 50 from Utah to Nevada, the designation of Lehman Caves as a National Monument and the siting of the weapons facility in Hawthorne.
