Description |
Nederlands: Hoofdversiering van zilver bestaande uit twee oorhangers die zijn versierd met kralen en hangers. Dit hoofdsieraad werd gedragen bij ceremoniële gelegenheden, zoals bruiloften, niet bij de alledaagse bezigheden. Het sieraad behoorde tot de traditionele uitzet van de Berbervrouwen uit Akka (ook wel gespeld als Aqqa); een dorp, douar, gelegen in de regio van de zuidelijke Anti-Atlas en de Presahara. Akka werd bewoond door frakties van de omliggende Berbergroepen. Soms worden de bewoners ook aangeduid als de Ait Aqqa, eerder een verzamelnaam.
De oorhangers worden gevormd door telkens een halve boogvormige ring (tizadad in het Berbers) met daaraan in het midden een ronde hanger met geometrische versiering in niëllo. Aan elk van deze twee ronde platen hangen zeven ruitvormige hangertjes. De oorhangers worden op hun plaats gehouden door het touw bovenaan dat, over het hoofd bevestigd, tegelijkertijd het gewicht helpt dragen. Het touw dat de twee halve bogen verbindt en achterop het hoofd wordt bevestigd, houdt het geheel in evenwicht. |
