English: Cotton Mather's excited essay written for the judges heading off to Salem the first session of the newly formed court of Oyer and Terminer at the end of May in 1692. He recommends invasive bodily searches, the first of which took place over the next few days. Near the end he also flirts with the idea of a "water-ordeal."
