Norsk bokmål: Hønefoss gamle byvåpen ble opprettet ved kgl. resolusjon av 15. mars1902. Det var tegnet av myntgravør Ivar Throndsen (1853-1932) og har et motiv som henspeiler på byens bakgrunn og opprinnelse. Da den gamle bykommunen Hønefoss ved årsskiftet 1963/1964 inngikk i den nye storkommunen Ringerike, var det alt besluttet å la gamle og ærverdige Hønefoss Sparebank få beytte det gamle byvåpnet. Det gjør banken fortsatt, men med visse endringer (tillegg).
