Description
English: Plate IV in Byam's Fruits of the West Indies. Flowers, calyxes, and leaves of the sorrel or hibiscus. This annual plant is also known as roselle or Jamaican sorrel. The calyxes are picked to make drinks and jellies. Scientific name: Hibiscus sabdarifffa. Engraved and hand-colored image.
