English: Butter Masala Dosa is a Dosa (South Indian Pancake, it’s not thick like a pancake but is thin like a crêpe) made with batter (Urad dal and rice) and roasted with butter instead of oil. It is rolled with Batati Palya
(Boiled potatoes sautéed with onion, turmeric powder and spices).
This dosa roll is served along with green Coconut-Chutney and Sambar (South Indian Gravy).
Also accompanied is a tiny cup of Ghee (Clarified butter).
NB.: It is not eaten as a roll. It is generally eaten using only right hand by tearing a piece, stuffing with Palya and dunking in Chutney or Sambar.
