Summary

Description
English: Photo of Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad officials inspecting the Moffat Tunnel in 1934. The railroad was planning to institute service to California. This was the first use of the tunnel by a transcontinental railroad. The train, the Expositon Flyer, began service in 1939 for San Francisco's Golden Gate Exposition. The Exposition Flyer was the forerunner of the Burlington streamliner, California Zephyr.
