Lebensjahr in Lima (Peru) gestorben.

ADN-ZB/Archive. Germany under the fascist terror regime 1933-1945

This photo from March 1933 became known worldwide as a document of shame of the Nazi thugs. A Jewish lawyer, who still trusted in the police as the defender of law and order, is driven across the Stachus square in Munich by SA thugs, who functioned as auxiliary police. The man shown on the photo, the Munich lawyer Dr Michael Siegel, one of the first victims of the brown terror regime, was one of the few to survive it, in spite of having persevered in Germany into the War years. He passed away on 15 March, 1979, aged 97, in Lima (Peru).
