Zentralbild / Sturm / Wittig / 15.5.1955 Schiller-Ehrung vom 8.-15. Mai 1955 in Weimar, 14.Mai 1955, Beim Festakt im Deutschen Nationaltheater in Weimar hielt Thomas Mann die Festansprache. Der Dichter wurde Ehrenmitglied der Akademie der Künste. Minister Dr. h.c. Johannes R. Becher überreichte Thomas Mann die Ehrenurkunde. UBz: Die Anwesenden, besonders seine Tochter, gratulieren Thomas Mann zu der Würde eines Ehrenmitglieds der Akademie der Künste.

Thomas Mann became an honorary member of the Akademie der Künste in May 1955. In the German National Theater Weimar Johannes R. Becher presented the certificate of honor, Erika Mann congratulated the father, behind her is Victor Klemperer to see.
