For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Erfurt, Gastarbeiter im Gespräch
ADN-ZB Hirndorf 15.12.89 Erfurt: Vietnamesische Werktätige- 337 vietnamesische Werktätige arbeiten derzeit im VEB Schuhfabrik "Paul Schäfer" Erfurt. Zu ihnen gehört Dinh Quan Khanh, der in der hübschen Kubanerin Carmen Conte Popo nicht nur eine nette Kollegin, sondern auch eine gute Freundin gefunden hat. Während ihres fünfjährigen Aufenthaltes in der DDR sind die vietnamesischen Bürger ihren DDR-Kollegen sowohl arbeitsrechtlich als auch finanziell völlig gleichgestellt.
