For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Dresden, Hochschule für Musik
Zentralbild Höhne-Pohl 14.11.1952 Hochschule für Musik in Dresden eröffnet. Die Musikakademie in Dresden wurde am 11.11.1952 in einer Feierstunde durch den Vorsitzenden der Staatlichen Kommision für Kunstangelegenheiten Helmut Holtzhauer zur Hochschule für Musik erhoben. Der Direktor der ehemaligen Akadmie, Professor Dr. Karl Laux, wurde zum Direktor der neuen Hochschule ernannt. Nach sowjetischem Muster umfaßt dieses Institut eine Musik-Grundschule für die 14- bis 18-jährigen, ein Konservatorium mit musikpädagogischem Seminar und eine Hochschule für Oper und Operette.
