Das deutsche Heeressanitätswesen ist hinsichtlich der Mustergültigkeit seiner Einrichtungen und vor allem der Massnahmen zum schnellsten Heimtransport Verwundeter wohl einzigartig in der Welt. Wenn irgend angängig, erfolgen die Beförderungen der Verletzten und Kranken mittels schnellen und geräumigen Flugzeugen.
UBz: Auch der verwundete Ritterkreuzträger Major Koch, der Erstürmer von Eben Emael, kehrt auf diesem Wege in die Heimat zurück.
