Von ihren englischen und sowjetischen "Freunden" in den Kampf getrieben und dann im Stich gelassen und verhöhnt, wandern die polnischen Aufständischen in die Gefangenschaft. Langsam dämmert es ihnen, dass sie nur ein Spielball in den Händen Londons und Moskaus waren.

English: Warsaw Uprising: Polish POWs on Opaczewska Street at the intersection with Grójecka Street. Judging by the uniforms the prisoners are from one of the units of General Berling Army which crossed the Vistula river and joined the Uprising.
Polski: Powstanie Warszawskie: Jeńcy na ulicy Opaczewskiej przy skrzyżowaniu z ulicą Grójecką. Sądząc po mundurach jeńcy przypuszczalnie należeli do oddziałów Armii Berlinga, które przekroczyły Wisłę i przyłączyły się do Powstania.
