For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Aus der deutschen Reichsanstalt für Maas und Gewicht! Die Reichsanstalt für Maas und Gewicht prüft die Gewichte und Maasse und setzt ihre Norm fest. Dieselben haben in ganz Deutschland Geltung und sind auch verschiedentlich im Auslande massgebend. Die Maasse werden mit feinsten Apparaten bis auf einen Zehntausenstel Millimeter gepüft. Die Gewichtsmessungen werden derartig genau und fein durchgeführt, dass man beispielsweise imstande ist, sogar ein Staubkorn zu wiegen. Die 1kg Waage zur genauen Bestimmung der 1 kg Gewichts. Die Ablesung und Bedienung der Waage erfolgt aus 1 m Entfernung. Im Waagekasten befinden sich 4 Thermometer zur Bestimmung der Lufttemperatur während der Wägung. |
