Summary

Description

Plain parallax mapping (bumpmapping evolution) viewed at an extreme angle. Although the illusion of depth is retained, the awful amount of artifacts simply catch the eye. This method has been dubbed 'shimmering mess o' pixels' for a reason. Note the artifacts are more pronounced on steep slopes - the cone on the top seems to be quite ok, as well as some sides of the near stair-like thing because of the low steepness here.
