Description
English: Building the M5, near Rushpark, Whiteabbey. Announced in 1965 as a motorway of seven miles from Greencastle to Carrickfergus, the M5 ended up as a one mile stretch from Greencastle to Rushpark 384108 at Whiteabbey. This view shows the road under construction, on the approach to the roundabout, near Hazelbank, just four months before it opened. Continue to 1638178.
