English: A Talisman suite of vehicles is pictured in convoy to Forward Operating Base(FOB) Khar Nikha in the northern part of Nahr-e Seraj District in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
Talisman is a suite of vehicles, operated by the Royal Engineers that clears routes of IEDs and mines. Each Talisman system consists of: MASTIFF 2 protected patrol vehicle Buffalo mine protected vehicle, with a rummaging arm JCB high mobility engineer excavator T-Hawk micro air vehicle Talon tracked remote control vehicle Task Force Helmand Engineer Group is made up of 35 Engineer Regiment complete and 11 Field Squadron. Throughout HERRICK 15 the TFH Engineer Group have completed a wide range of tasks such as improvement of all level of bases including electrical work, bridging assets, road builds/improvements, a TALISMAN route clearing and proving capability assisting with freedom of movement throughout Helmand, and demolitions.
