Summary

Description An exact replica of the Buddha statue in Afghanistan which was recently destroyed by terrorists. I supposed the lunatics must be proud of their 'lifetime achievement' which puts the whole of mankind to shame. This giant statue is an exact replica of the destroyed statue and was apparently built with Japanese aid. Balapitiya, Sri Lanka, June 2011.
