English: The A96 Trunk Road (at this point, known as Auchmill Road) as it passes through Bucksburn.
The road was widened to create a new dual carriageway in the early 1980s. This work destroyed the original village atmosphere of Bucksburn. I grew up there in the 1970s at the tail-end of Bucksburn's village days. It was a nice place to live.
The original A96 was much narrower and quieter here. One side bordered by the shops in the picture, the other side (which contained houses, shops and other businesses)was approximately where the fence appears on the central reservation.
